Short answer: PC and Xbox, plus the launch dates

Square Enix lists the game on Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Xbox on PC, alongside other consoles. The release date is October 22, 2026, and the publisher's own table adds a note: "Steam: October 23, 2026" (Square Enix Asia news portal, checked October 20, 2026).

Why the Steam date is one day later

The publisher gives the later Steam date without a reason, and adds that release times may vary by region. We could not confirm an exact unlock hour for any platform on an official page today, so check your own platform's listing on launch day.

Which key matches how you play

Steam key

A Steam key activates in Steam on PC. Steam explains the steps in its own help article (Steam Support). It does not work on an Xbox console.

Xbox key

An Xbox key is redeemed on your Microsoft account (Xbox Support). The publisher lists Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC as separate platforms.

Does one Xbox key cover PC and Xbox?

We could not confirm this today. The publisher pages we checked do not mention Xbox Play Anywhere, and we did not find an official Xbox product page that says so. Only treat one key as covering both if the listing clearly says Xbox Play Anywhere, or Windows and Xbox.

Editions at launch

The publisher describes three editions (Square Enix North America, checked October 20, 2026):

  • Standard Edition: the base game.
  • Digital Deluxe Edition: the base game plus in game items the publisher calls "useful."
  • Collector's Edition: the base game, the Digital Deluxe Edition bonuses and four physical items, such as an artbook, a soundtrack and a trading card game promo card. This is a physical bundle, not something a digital key delivers.

The publisher has not listed the exact in game items on the pages we checked, so we do not list them here.

Before you buy: three labels to check

  1. Platform label. Steam for Steam on PC. Xbox for Xbox Series X|S or Xbox on PC. The publisher lists Xbox Series X|S only, so skip any key labeled Xbox One.
  2. Region label. Match it to your account region. Our guide on region locked Steam keys explains why.
  3. Edition name. Standard or Digital Deluxe, exactly as named by the publisher.

The publisher has not said the game is on Game Pass, so we make no claim either way.
