How we rank
Prices. Every price is a total: the listed price, minus any coupon, plus the service fee and the fee for the payment method you picked (Card by default, or PayPal), using the fee rules we have checked for that seller. Optional buyer protection is not included. If we have no fee rule for a seller and payment method, the offer says "Fees not confirmed" and the total may be higher at checkout. Prices converted from another currency are approximate. Always check the final total at the store.
Coverage. We compare the stores we have price data for. We do not cover every store.
What counts, in order. First, an offer must match your game, edition, platform, region, delivery and seller settings. Then the lowest total wins. Ties go to the higher trust tier, then the most recently checked offer, then keys before accounts. Commission and payment from sellers are never used.
Recently checked prices only. The answer cards use only prices we checked in the last 8 hours. The full list shows prices checked in the last 24 hours, each with the time we checked it. Older prices are hidden, never shown as current.
The answer cards
Cheapest: the lowest total among matching offers. An offer marked "Fees not confirmed" is never the Cheapest pick while a matching offer with confirmed fees exists, even if its known price is lower. It keeps its place in the full list with the label. If every matching offer has unconfirmed fees, the lowest one can be the Cheapest pick, with the label.
Safest good deal: chosen from official stores and authorized resellers. Offers with confirmed fees come first. Among them we pick the highest trust tier, then the lowest total. Only when no offer in that group has confirmed fees can an unconfirmed one be the Safest pick, with the label. If no official store or authorized reseller has the game for your platform and region, there is no Safest pick.
Official store: the platform's own store, so you can compare with the official price when we have it. It is shown even when its fees are not confirmed, with the label.
Savings. "+X vs cheapest" and, when an official store price is shown, "Save X vs official store" only appear when both prices have confirmed fees. "Save X vs official store" is also hidden when the Cheapest offer is an account or has a region warning, because then the two prices are not like for like.
Full list. Sorted by total, cheapest first (the known price for offers with unconfirmed fees). A budget never hides an offer; it only marks it. Pre-orders are labeled and come after every offer available now; a pre-order is a pick only when nothing else matches.
Trust tiers
- Tier A: official store or authorized reseller.
- Tier B: established keyshop with stated buyer protection.
- Tier C: marketplace with seller ratings.
- Tier D: limited information.
Tiers are set by our team with this rubric; payment never changes a tier.
Sponsored
At most one Sponsored offer can appear after the answer cards. It is always labeled, and "Why am I seeing this?" explains it. It only appears when the seller has an offer that matches your game, platform, region, seller setting and budget, and the seller is trust tier B or better. If that offer is already one of the answer cards, no Sponsored unit is shown. The offer also stays in the full list at its normal position, without any highlight.
Paying never changes which offer fills an answer card, the order of the list, any badge, or which seller holds a buy button. When several sponsors are eligible, they rotate by a fixed daily rule, not by price paid.
How we make money
We may earn a commission when you buy through our links. Commission never changes which offers we pick or the order of the list. Store links may carry an affiliate code. Sponsored placements are paid by the seller.
