Is Instant Gaming Legit? Key Sources, Regions and Refunds
Instant Gaming is a real, operating key store with published terms of sale. It sells keys itself rather than running a marketplace, and its terms say it sells "official keys, issued by the publisher and/or the developer." That is the store's own claim; AskLoot cannot verify the source of any individual key. Its terms let you cancel within 14 days of the confirmation email, but not after you use the code. Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on the product page.

Who you are buying from
From Instant Gaming's General Terms of Sale (checked November 2, 2026; the terms say they were last amended in November 2023):
- Seller: Aliasing DMCC, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, trading as Instant Gaming.
- Support and refunds: a group company, Transactial Limited in Dublin, Ireland, handles payment processing, customer service, technical support, cancelations and refunds.
- Governing law: Irish law, without removing mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
- Contact: support links on the site or a ticket from your account.
What Instant Gaming says about its keys
The terms say: "We sell on the Website official keys, issued by the publisher and/or the developer of relevant Content." They also say Instant Gaming is "not the Developer of the Content" and does "not own or operate the Developer's platform."
Two practical points from the same terms:
- It is a store, not a marketplace. You buy from Instant Gaming, not from a third-party seller listed on its site. That is a different model from marketplaces such as Kinguin or G2A.
- The platform's rules still apply. You "must also comply with the Developer's end user license agreement and other terms related to its Content and its platform."
Whether a given publisher lists Instant Gaming as an authorized reseller is a question for that publisher.
Regions and activation platforms
A key works on one platform, and often only in some regions.
- Platform. Read whether the product is a Steam key, an Xbox key, a Microsoft Store key, or another platform. They are not interchangeable. An Xbox key works on PC only for Xbox Play Anywhere games. See Does an Xbox key work on PC?
- Region. Check the region or country compatibility on the product page against your account's country.
- Edition. The terms note that listed content "may not be the latest version or edition." Check you are getting the edition you want.
- Base game. For DLC, the terms say you need the matching base game version and updates installed.
Never use a VPN to redeem a key from another region. Microsoft's Store terms prohibit location masking for redemptions, and Steam's Subscriber Agreement says Valve may terminate accounts that disguise their location. See Argentina and Turkey Xbox keys and VPN risk.
Cancelations and refunds
From sections 12 and 16 of the terms:
- Changing your mind: "You can cancel your order for Codes at any time during the 14 days after the day we send you our Confirmation Email."
- After you use the code: "you do not have a right to change your mind and receive a refund once you use your Code." A code counts as used once it "has been accepted and validated on the Developer's platform."
- Pre-orders: you can cancel by email up to the point Instant Gaming tells you the code is available in your account.
- Faulty codes: you can ask Instant Gaming to replace the code, give a price reduction, or reject the code and get a refund. It asks you to check the code "as soon as reasonably possible."
- Refund timing: within 14 days of your request, to your original payment method unless you agree otherwise.
What support can and cannot fix
Can help with (per the terms):
- A code that does not work as described: replacement, price reduction or refund.
- An order that is significantly delayed or suspended for technical reasons.
- A price or description error on an order.
Cannot fix (per the terms):
- A ban on your platform account. Instant Gaming says it will not refund "if you are unable to use any Code ... because you are banned" by the developer.
- A code you already redeemed on the wrong account or wrong platform.
- Missing updates or upgrades. The terms say codes do not include future upgrades unless the developer provides them.
- Problems from not meeting the game's system requirements.
Also note: Valve "cannot provide refunds for purchases made outside of Steam," so a Steam refund request will not cover a key bought here.
Checklist before you buy
- Platform on the listing matches where you play.
- Region matches your account's country.
- Edition is the one you want.
- You have an Instant Gaming account (the terms require one).
- Redeem promptly and check it works, so you can report a fault early.
- Keep the confirmation email and a screenshot of any error.
