Release date

The publisher says Football Manager 27 launches "globally from 10 November" 2026. The Steam page lists Nov 10, 2026. The publisher has not stated a global unlock hour for launch day. We will recheck it in launch week.

Launch Preview

The Launch Preview replaces what earlier years called Beta or Advanced Access.

  1. Free play period: from 6pm GMT on October 29 to November 3, on PC and Mac, with all game modes. No sign up is needed. On Game Pass it is for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members only.
  2. Pre-purchase: opens with the free play period. Pre-purchase keeps Launch Preview access from 6pm GMT on November 3 until full launch on November 10. The publisher says this applies only to purchases from SEGA approved digital retailers.
  3. Saves: saves started in the free period carry on into the paid Launch Preview and full launch.

Editions

The publisher has not announced named editions as of October 21, 2026. The Steam page shows no edition or pre-purchase packages yet. What the publisher does separate is the PC game and FM27 Console. We could not confirm whether a PC purchase includes FM27 Console, or the reverse.

Key type

  • Steam key: activates in Steam only (Steam Support).
  • Xbox key: redeems on your Microsoft account (Xbox Support). The PC version runs in the Xbox app on Windows.
  • Match the key to the launcher you play in, and check the platform and region labels.
  • Cross save between Steam, the Xbox app and FM27 Console: not confirmed by the publisher.

Game Pass status

Yes, from day one. The publisher says the Xbox PC app launch includes Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, and FM27 Console launches "including Game Pass Console subscribers." Game Pass members on PC also get the Launch Preview, and a Launch Preview save can continue through the subscription.
